Cutting Mechanics (m/w)

(Area of Application: Turning and Milling)

Cutting Mechanics manufacture metal components, for example drive components, using so-called metal-cutting processes such as turning, milling or grinding. Since a high precision is needed, CNC-controlled machine tools are usually used.

Your job as a machinist is to adjust these computerized systems (programme writing), to monitor the manufacturing process and to ensure the quality of the fabricated components. You tighten metal parts and tools in a machine, adjust them and set the working process in motion. Continously, you check whether dimensions and surface quality meet the requirements .

Places of work are usually factory buildings or workshops.

Cutting Mechanics are preferably employed in industrial companies, where machining processes are applied, such as in machine and vehicle construction , foundries or steel and aluminum construction industries.
