Sheet metal components are an essential part of modern machines and systems. Housings, enclosures, containers, process components, or complex structures—the requirements are as varied as the applications themselves.
At Theilen Maschinenbau, we manufacture custom sheet metal components ranging from individual parts to series production. In doing so, we take into account not only dimensions and geometries, but also material, function, joining techniques, and subsequent assembly.
After all, a component must be capable of more than just fitting the drawing. It must function properly in its application.
To achieve this, we combine our experience in sheet metal fabrication with a modern machine park and close integration with our other production areas. This results in solutions that are technically well-thought-out and cost-effectively manufactured.
From simple sheet metal parts to complex structures. From the initial contour to the finished component.
Demanding sheet metal fabrication requires not only experience but also the right technology.
That’s why we rely on a modern machine park, which allows us to flexibly meet a wide variety of requirements.
At the heart of our production is a 6-kW Trumpf fiber laser. With it, we can cut sheet metal formats up to 4,000 × 2,000 mm and sheet thicknesses up to 20 mm. Even large-format components can be processed efficiently and precisely with this machine.
For bending, we have two LVD press brakes with a working width of up to 4,000 mm at our disposal. Our production capabilities are complemented by an additional LVD press brake with a working width of up to 1,500 mm.
And when a single component turns into many, speed is key.
For series production, we therefore also rely on an electric LVD press brake. It enables fast and efficient processes for repetitive bending tasks and is exactly what’s needed when we really need to step on the gas in series production.
This allows us to meet a wide variety of manufacturing requirements:
large formats, complex geometries, individual parts, small-batch production, and mass production.
It’s not about using as much technology as possible. It’s about using the right manufacturing technology for each task.
For us, sheet metal fabrication doesn’t end with cutting or even at the press brake.
Many components later become part of a larger structure. That’s why we think ahead in our manufacturing process from the very beginning.
Our sheet metal parts can be combined with steel structures, machined components, and other parts to form complete assemblies. Thanks to our in-house departments for steel construction, machining, surface treatment, and assembly, many processes are streamlined and coordination is direct.
This creates advantages where multiple manufacturing steps are interlinked.
We can coordinate components, address interfaces early on, and, upon request, produce assembly-ready subassemblies.
This transforms individual sheet metal parts into a solution that is immediately ready for the next step.
We don’t just manufacture sheet metal. We bring manufacturing steps together.
